SUMMARY:Guest Teacher Speaking on Dzogchen
DESCRIPTION:We have the good fortune to have Geshe Dangsong Namgyal\, a Dzogchen master in the Bon lineage\, coming to MDC on Thursday\, May 23\, at 6:30 pm to speak to us about the practice of Dzogchen. This practice is a powerful way to see the mind as clear and peaceful. He describes it as “the meditator passes beyond mind and encounters the inconceivable vastness of the natural mind and ultimate truth.” \nGeshe Namgyal is a Rime teacher\, meaning one who embraces all of the schools of Tibetan Buddhism. He was born in Tibet\, came to India where he underwent 25 years of intense study to obtain his Geshe degree\, equivalent to our Western Ph.D. He is the author of works on Tibetan culture and religion\, has presented at numerous conferences throughout the world. He is the spiritual director for Kunsang Gar Meditation Center in Corralitos\, CA. He is author of the book Pure Dzogchen\, a collection of his teachings on the nature of mind. \nPlease let us welcome Geshe-la to our Center. Try not to miss this precious learning opportunity.
