You’re invited to join us for a Fence-Raising! The fence will be constructed over the first two weekends in October. We will begin on Saturday, October 6th after meditation around 11 o’clock AM at the Manjushri Dharma Center backyard, 724 Forest Avenue in Pacific Grove. We will continue the following day, Sunday, October 7th and the next weekend Saturday, October 13th and Sunday, October 14th. The project is led by Doug Gallant, an experienced fence-raiser.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
All the construction will be done by volunteers. If you would like to be a volunteer fence-raiser, jobs include: carrying materials, setting posts, nailing, providing musical accompaniment, documenting, and making a great picnic for all participants. Turning an undeveloped lot into a space for more Dharma teaching, meditation, and you name it. We’re claiming the space!

DONATIONS FOR MATERIALS, BUY A BOARD!
We want to put our donors’ names on the fence! There are 91 boards in this fence. Each Board costs $5.00. There are 12 posts needed. Each post is $11.00. If you would like to buy a board or a post (or 2 or 5 or 10), just click the donate button below. Then email our Facility Manager, Diana Slattery at [email protected] and tell her how many posts and or boards you would like to purchase and the name you would like on each board. If you would like to donate with cash or a check, please write how many posts and or boards you would like to purchase and the name you would like on each board, then put the donation in an envelope and use the donation box at the Manjushri Dharma Center. What a wonderful thing it would be to have many small donations all adding up to one sacred fence!
