Meet at 9:30am at MDC

Rinpoche invites all to Asilomar State Beach where we learn and practice sitting and walking meditation.  In sitting meditation, you calm your mind and bring your awareness to the present moment.  In walking meditation, you direct your attention to the movement and sensations of your body.  You feel your feet on the ground, and arrive fully to the present moment with each step.

  • Meet to Carpool at 9:30am at MDC:  We will gather at the Manjushri Dharma Center at 9:30am and carpool to the Asilomar Conference Grounds/Asilomar Beach with the hopes of starting our practice at 10am.

Parking at Asilomar:  Parking is free at the Asilomar Conference Grounds, or there is parking on the street on Sunset Blvd.  Asilomar Conference Grounds also has bathrooms.

Prayer for World Peace–we will also pray for peace in the world, an ocean of peace–using this prayer written by Khenpo La.

Notes:  No beach fire this time, keeping it simple!  Rain will mean meditation reverts to the normal 10am at the Manjushri Dharma Center.
