We are planning a sangha field trip to the Asian Museum in San Francisco on September 16, 2018.  The current exhibit that goes until September 16 is called “A Guided Tour of Hell”. These are paintings made by Pema Namdol Thaye from an experience Western Buddhist teacher Sam Bercholtz had when his heart stopped for awhile on the operating table. Sam is a longtime Nyingma practitioner, training under Trunpa Rinpoche, then with HH Dudjom Rinpoche and Kyabje Thinley Norbu. He also teaches at the annual Ngondro Retreat held at Pema Osel Ling.
