We had a full house for meditation and many volunteers for the Garden Volunteer Day on January 18, 2025. Most started off by enjoying some coffee and tea, but Susan got right to work! No wasted time for her! Many hands made light and fast work of the “yellow flowers,” that Rinpoche wanted trimmed (Tagetes lemmonii, commonly known as Mexican Marigold). We also attempted to pull the oxalis (clover), but the clover is winning!
For one special visitor, it was his 79th birthday! Happy birthday Giovanni! He made a great effort to come by bus from Carmel, to meditate, and root us on as we pulled weeds. Thank you to Elizabeth who kindly offered him a ride home. Sangha members celebrating and helping each other out–that is what sangha is all about! Many thanks to all who came out to lend a hand!
