After consideration of the California guidance on reopening “Providers of Religious Services”, Rinpoche and the board agreed that the MDC center would not be able to meet the current guidelines, which include temperature screening, use of disposable seat coverings and prayer books and/or frequent disinfection of commonly used surfaces, seating congregants six feet apart with marked walking paths, ventilation systems, shortening services, and the like.

For the time being, Rinpoche will continue his online teaching and prayer sessions, and the board is looking into the possibilities for conducting teachings and meditations outside—both at the Forest Ave. location and elsewhere in the community. In fact, the board would appreciate any ideas community members might have for locations that would be appropriate. Please email any board member listed below.
