On Monday, April 8th, 2024, there will be a solar eclipse. A partial solar eclipse may be visible (depending on cloud cover) from Pacific Grove/Monterey Bay. On this auspicious occassion, for Monday Night Chanted Prayers, we will recite a short Green Tara practice, then the prayer called the Prayer of Kuntuzangpo (Tib. ཀུན་བཟང་སྨོན་ལམ་, Kunzang Mönlam) — a famous Dzogchen aspiration prayer recited especially during a solar or lunar eclipse, an earthquake or at the solstices. It’s a special day and a very meritorious prayer practice!
