Karma Shawa was a baby deer that lived his life in Rinpoche’s yard at the Manjushri Dharma Center. Rinpoche loved him like a son, and sang him songs and mantras to which he responded, drawn to the love and compassion of Rinpoche’s heart. Tragically, Karma Shawa died while still young, and he was given many prayers and buried in the backyard of MDC. Each Memorial Day, we remember him.
