I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who participated in yesterday’s March 10th Tibetan Uprising Day protest in Monterey.
It has now been 67 years since that fateful day, and for 16 consecutive years we have continued to hold this protest here in California. Although Monterey is a small city, many of my friends and students came to show their support. This is truly meaningful to me and to the Tibetan people.
We Tibetans need the support of people all around the world, especially in the West. We place great hope and trust in the United States, and this connection is long-standing and deeply valued.
Your support is not only for Tibet and the Tibetan people, you are also standing on the side of truth and justice. For that, I would like to sincerely express my appreciation and gratitude to all of you.
As a representative both inside and outside Tibet, I will never stop commemorating this day and continuing this effort. No matter what, we will never give up.
Tibet will be victorious!
