Although Rinpoche is not doing his retreat in a cave (shown here is the cave of Padmasambhava in Nepal from 2022), he called recently to say his mind is so happy (he mentioned the word JOY), his retreat is going well, and that he will check in again around November 15th to let us know if he will extend the retreat another month. He is doing retreat in the Portland area, cooking his own food, and he has been able to keep a silent retreat. He feels well supported.
