“To the holy root guru endowed with the threefold kindness, the venerable Kyabje Khen Rinpoche:
With your immense compassion, you not only performed vast dedication prayers and aspirations for forty-nine days for the deceased — especially for the late father of your devoted disciple, as well as all departed Dharma friends and the deceased members of the Lingpa Dharma family — but you have also continuously bestowed prayers, protection, and blessings upon us disciples whenever illness, obstacles, adverse conditions, or difficulties have arisen.
In short, from past through present and future alike, Rinpoche has tirelessly cared for all of us — the deceased, disciples, followers, and family members — with a kindness like that of a mother, never sparing yourself in any way. Although someone as ignorant as myself could never adequately express such boundless benevolence, I can never forget your compassion and kindness. Holding your grace constantly in the center of my heart, I now offer thanks on behalf of all the disciples and followers. With palms joined at my heart, I humbly express immeasurable gratitude to you.
Furthermore, we pray from the depths of our hearts and bones that, from now onward as well, our precious guru will continue to hold us with compassion throughout this life, the intermediate state, and all future lives, guiding and protecting us unfailingly along the path.
We fervently pray that Guru Rinpoche’s life and lotus feet remain firm and enduring, and that all of us may continue to behold the guru’s face and hear the guru’s speech, thereby repeatedly receiving the profound instructions and sacred Dharma teachings.
